Stress itself can cause tired.

Sorry you got such a run around. Some people really get used to free shipping and their supply chain, forgetting that frictionless is just costs they don't pay, not some universal truth.

Thanks. :^) I wish I could actually afford to do this, but when it starts taking a toll on mental & physical health in addition to the money, that's too much.

They are a well meaning group, but I think they expect that a volunteer must be able to afford it, or they wouldn't volunteer.

Can't blame them too much that I bit off more than I could chew.

Shall do ME stuff for a while until I feel able to return to the mask making at a less obsessive pace. (And hopefully they'll get organized more in my area- I know I'd feel better if it was going to people in my home state- my city is one with the highest number of confirmed cases so I know the need is here.)

Oh, gee, yes. Always valid to take care of your own needs first. And best wishes to you and your whole city -- maybe another group will surface, connecting donations on a much more local scale.

Thank you. I'm sure there are lots of groups out there. And when I get back up to speed, I'm sure there will still be a need for cloth masks- this isn't going to go away any time soon, we all know that.

Some groups forget they are not the default status of everyone that might desire to help and be able to help in some capacity.

Do take time for self-care aka your Me time, and by then there should be a group locally that will have their ducks in a row.

This is a long haul team event, not a sprint.

I went out and walked around my yard and took a few photos of a stray cat munching on the cat food I had ordered over the internet for my house cat.

I opened the box outside a few days ago and discovered the bag of kibble had been split wide open. Yikes. The company 'Chewy.com' was very nice and they're going to reorder it (will take much longer than usual of course, but luckily I didn't wait until I ran out to order it, so Natasha won't go hungry.)

BUT on the principle that 'it's an ill wind indeed that does no one any good' I left the box inside my yard and bit by bit pussycats are coming to discover a meal. Someone else in the neighborhood normally feeds them, I'm sure because none of them were desperate- it was like- 'oh, hey, there's a snack'. Gives me a little entertainment when I see a tail and a butt sticking out of the box.
