currently my coping mechanism today is making all the lists and also making all the candles.

I'm doing okay, had a nice phone call with a friend, read a bit and was productive.

Candle Making is not hard at all. As long as you have access to a stove and a making kit, it's pretty easy and also really weirdly soothing. There's a flow to it.

Essential Supplies

Wax (flakes or a brick - I use flakes) - you can choose between soy, paraffin, and beeswax. I prefer soy wax but your mileage might vary.

A melting/pouring pitcher

a food scale

a craft thermometer

scents/dyes

masking tape

sharpie marker

chopsticks

a stove

a large pot for pitcher to sit in (melting the wax is a double boiler system)

pan or tray for candles to sit on and cure (also helps with mess)

wicks/wick stands

gluegun to attach the wicks to the bottom of the jars.

containers to put the wax in ( I reuse my glass pasta jars all the time - but there are also several sizes of mason jars that work very well too)

Michaels in the US does a lot of deals so you can get a lot there for not too much money and then Candle Science also has premade kits you can buy for first timers

Holy wow, I'd love to learn to make candles. Anything to keep my mind of this damn thing.

Keep in mind that I am completely blind. XDescriptions of every step of the process would be a good thing.

Not that I can't do it, only that along the way, I'd have to make tool modifications. :d
