Yeah. Jobs are good. Steady income is good. Jobs we liked and had a say in would be better.

yeah. I am grateful to still have a job after six months of sitting at home. Also grateful that while my 'commute' is much longer, it's still not really a commute. I used to work across the street from my apartment. Now I'll be a kilometer away. Uphill, of course. I'll deal, obviously.

Oh, blah. At least it's downhill on the way home, if I understand correctly? And here's hoping the staff turnover has brought in much nicer people.

It is indeed downhill going home, so I can get there faster. But uphill is worse when you don't even want to make the trip.
