The best I've ever found is Leading Lady Model 600, now known as the Bettie. It only goes up to size 42DD, but if that might work -- 100% cotton fabric , not sure about stitching-thread composition. As supportive as any athletic bra I've ever worn, but very comfortable with separate cups and NO UNDERWIRE. This is the bra I wore for dance classes, and routinely wear all day.

One thing to consider adjusting on your current bra is the band: if you're aching from lack of support, try tightening the band at your back and see if it's still comfortable. The band is designed to provide most of the support, but as bras age they stretch out. On the other hand, if your soreness is focused at pressure marks from the tightness, and you don't normally wear a bra at all, the band might be fitting too tight. In that case maybe consider a long-line bra to spread the needed support over more torso area?

Have you followed the r/abrathatfits measurement instructions to make sure you have the correct size? That would be the first thing I'd try if you haven't. You might also want to look into Decent Exposures. I hear good things.
