Prednisone makes everything feel bigger than it actually is. I'm sure I'm fine, but it doesn't always feel that way.

Thanks. I forget between times how hard it is. But if it saves me from antibiotics, it'll save me from the hospital. Staying away from the hospital is goal number one for me and my lungs these days.

Very, very tired of low-level aggression towards pharmacy staff here.

That is the WORST. I mean yes, pharmacy customers are extra-stressed these days, but it's not a patch on how stressed YOU are. *sends love beams in your general direction*

My sleep pattern's completely whacked, but I'm getting enough overall and my bum knee's a lot better. Things are okay.

... Had a hard time sleeping at first.

Getting re-used to the CPAP is a bitch; my ribs hurt like hell. :(

It's too cold to go outside...and dammit, I need to, LOL

My sustaining deal right now is that I have a job interview via zoom tomorrow for a WFH gig, and I'm really hoping I get it.

My bane is my face: I don't like its appearance. Chin beards are a thing, and I don't want mine. :(

So am I. :d Despite the fact I have male headmates who interact here sometimes.

...

And I have nothing with which to shave mine off because roomies have nothing extra. And it's extremely *VISIBLE!*. *sighs* ... and it's zoom *video*

I want to look good. I don't look good like this. *whines inaffectually*

I hear you. I get the goat's whiskers, and a mustache in stylish brown and white. Sometimes I get brave and pluck. It hurts and I can never do it all in one go. Ow. But shaving I think would be worse, I can't imagine stubble looking good on me, either. :^P

I wish I could pluck. But I've started laser treatments, and they tell you to not do that after you've started.

Granted they're on hold because virus, but still.

I don't think I look good like this, either. And just before lockdown started I was just about ready to go to the hairdresser for my bi-monthly cut, and I now look like one of those big hairy dogs.

Freaking finally, no facial hair!

...

Although, I feel you about the rest of my hair too. I have long hair and my ends are hell right now. I need a darn trim-up so bad! I feel like once Iget one, I'ma lose half my hair to it. LOL (I know I really won't, but.)

Ancient Harvest *new and IMPROVED* gluten free pasta was my dinner last night. Wow, so not an improvement. Ow ow and ow.

Apparently the Improvement was increasing the amount of cheaper/more readily available corn and rice, and reducing the quinoa content. I don't know about other gluten-sensitive individuals, but I have a limited tolerance for corn.

Being very grateful right now that I had mistakenly overstocked on toilet paper before the world turned upside down. My belly muscles ache-- ow.

On the bright side, yesterday I managed to give 4 face masks to my nearest neighbors, and got a lot of stage 1 sewing done on the next batch. Also, wrote another Battling Coronavirus fic, in which the Cat in the Hat appears. Writing poetry is HARD, trying to make it sound like Dr. Seuss is even harder.

Ow... not again... darn it... I HATE CORN, it tastes good, but that's only to lure me in. CORN HATES ME.

Oh, how awful. I have a friend with a corn allergy and I've seen what she goes through digestively, so I am very sympathetic. I'm so glad you had the extra TP, too.

Thank you. I don't know exactly what my problem is, but definitely too much corn is not an approved diet for me. I'm considering soaking the other 2 packages of the same thing until soft and then dumping it where birds might get it. It seems to be nesting season, so they might like easy calories. :^)

I expect huge sales in BIDETS around the US after this- probably a lot of them right now, but definitely afterward.

Hmm... so many models... :^)

I am so not surprised. It's a pity Sears stopped printing the Sears Roebuck catalog!

Hmmm... I wonder if people who've saved an old phone book are repurposing the paper...

I FINALLY ventured out yesterday and today, after my more than three week long self imposed quarantine because I didn't know if I had it or was just generically ill. I had to go to my clinic for an x-ray and it was bizarre, completely empty waiting rooms, plenty of parking, etc. when it's one of the busiest places in Seattle with hundreds of providers. They mask you up on entry, make you use sanitizing soap while they watch, do a temp check, then give you a card to carry with you that says you've been screened. Now they have drive through testing a bit north of the city, but of course, that comes too late for me to know if I had it or not. God, I hope they come up with an antibody test.

But then I got to go to the grocery store, still masked, and that was amazing, because even though a lot of what I wanted wasn't around, I still got to stock up on stuff I can't get delivered, and I ordered out for a dinner at a local restaurant and that was heaven. I didn't have the money, but I just was like, fuck it, and they gave me a small pie because they said they had extra but I think it was because I gave them a big tip when I ordered. It was divine to not eat the same old awful thing I cooked. I'm so sick of cooking, I'm awful at it.

Today I had to go get batteries since everything here is dead, and a few drugstore type items, and had to take my down comforter to be cleaned since my cat decided to epically barf on it while I was at the clinic. And wear my pretty purple mask that my friend made for me, and had a ten-foot-away chat with a neighbor when I got home. I know I should hate going out, but just to see people, to talk to someone who's not on a computer screen...it was worth all the washing and sanitizing when I got home.
