Jay Rosen may not remember me but we were talking about newspaper work 25 years ago online. He hasn't stopped, and his observations are excellent.

I am grumpy because I'm still new to my job and still getting things wrong. I'm spending far too much odd time wondering how I could obtain enough funds to give up work altogether.
