Date: 2020-03-19 03:27 am (UTC)And now the season's changing. It feels like this is never going to end.
I clicked OK on the poll, but at any given moment I'm really not. BUT. I get past it and move on. Until the next time. ;)

Date: 2020-03-19 03:44 am (UTC)I'm not there yet -- I'm in Portland, Oregon, and can still walk around my neighborhood and get very careful takeout from the local coffee shop. But people are definitely staying in a lot more than they used to.
I just started to work from home today, and am still overwhelmed by all the logistics and ergonomics thereof.

Date: 2020-03-19 07:45 pm (UTC)They closed schools, museums and restaurants last week, but people don't have to stay home and many don't. Personally I've been staying home for two weeks now except for grocery shopping twice, but even just on the way to the supermarket today I've seen people standing in groups less than the recommended distance apart and chatting as usual.

Date: 2020-03-19 09:05 pm (UTC)We have 3 adults living in the main house, and a roommate that lives in the basement apartment. She has MS, so she's extremely vulnerable; I cook enough for all of us. I am worried about the supply chain in a vague way, but we are fine for the next few weeks if needed. We canceled out on our standard SF viewing night for the foreseeable future, going for that whole 'only going out for necessities and walks' by choice.
The graph that I saw in USA Today this morning showed that Washington State is diverging slightly from the worst escalation pattern, so I am hoping that in two-three weeks we will see that the social distancing is working. We'll have to see where it goes after that.
