I'm feeling really discouraged. The tightened measures here this winter initially brought the infections down, if somewhat slowly, but now the numbers have bee rising steadily again for a week in my city. I'm not sure whether it's the more infectious variants (the monitoring isn't great though have been starting to ramp up sequencing) or what, but it's all just depressing.

I thought I was managing okay. The sudden prospect of brief employment again - albeit remotely, from home - put my anxiety into high alert.
