I am finally seeing some progress on the house move. Not fast enough for me, but at least it's something. I may be moving in early January as I don't think there's enough time between now and Christmas.

I'm hanging in here. First World Problems WHINE coming up, because I'm feeling serious need to vent pent up frustrations. Feel free to ignore.

I think the refrigerator's getting ready to fail (compresser fan going TICK TICKETY CLACK). So I don't think I'm going to order any food for Thanksgiving- no point adding to the food that would go bad. Won't be the first year I ate egg salad for T-day. I'm HOPING the fridge will last long enough for a COVID-19 vaccine to be available so I could have a new one delivered without me panicking over the workers. Not looking forward to the expense, but it's so old repairing it really isn't a practical option.

It's not like the broken down swimming pool equipment- I can't ignore it (for years I've been ordering dry chemicals and just throwing them in and scraping muck by net, it's all I can do because it needs everything, pump and filter and deck and electric $$$)

AT&T texted me a while back that they're not going to support my phone past the beginning of 2022- I've been with the cheapest Pay As You Go plan forever because I can't afford anything else- and I really don't call/receive many calls (except for SPAM, Spam calls and Spam text, those I get every day and under my plan have to pay for (I wish the one PLACING the call would be the one to pay for it entirely, that makes sense, right?) I figured out how to report spam texts to AT&T- it's a 14 step process. I have to follow a note I made to remember it- but I don't think it works, because months later I had the same spammer call again- for that matter, I have a little over a dozen 'block spots' I can program, but the spam texts STILL can get through even when I both report it and block it. Apparently it blocks CALLS but not TEXTS.

Spammers have been trying to buy my house for over 10 years so I get a lot of spam texts for that- recently the city sent me a notice of a town hall meeting to rezone my residential area for multiple/commercial use- kindly sent me a map with red dots clustered all around my house where apparently the owners plan to construct apartment buildings. I wouldn't want to go to Shitty Hall at the BEST of times, but NOW? So, I'm looking forward to being the hole in the donut shadowed by big buildings and have strangers fill up the verge in front of my house after years of SLOWLY educating my neighbors that just because I don't have a car doesn't mean you can treat my verge as your parking lot on the daily. Until I started being really proactive, Notes on Windshields, conversations when I caught them parking, etc.- I had them filling up my verge with three cars parked nose to tail EVERY DAY, dropping trash (fast food packaging, drug baggies, cigarette butts, bottles full of urine, etc.) and making it impossible for me to mow (and the City sent me warning notices I'd be fined if I didn't mow) and impossible to put out my trash bin- they even MOVED my trash bin to make more room for themselves. Plus putting their own loose nasty trash in it, so it blew out all over, making a mess for me to pick up.

Haven't mowed the yard in so long it's a tangle of weeds (when it's not over 100F, not raining, not expecting a tropical storm and the city workers not parked in front of my house- working on the sewer lift station directly across the narrow 2 lane road since APRIL, I've been too depressed to mow). (I've lost track of the number of times they've blocked the road completely, which makes it FUN when I'm trying to get things delivered, or my trash picked up.)

Big tree in my front yard is in the process of dying due to my butchery cutting of it when expecting a hurricane- at this point I'd be glad to have it die because it has to be trimmed every year- over the years twice it's damaged the house in storms.

Need to buy a new computer- current computer is working but it's old and if it goes- well, with no car, and the phone going to be cut off (to replace it I need to GO to an AT&T store so they can switch over the card & keep the phone number- it's the same number my family got way way back when houses first got phones installed so IF anyone in my spread out family -no one even lives in a nearby state- ever wants to contact me, that's the number they'd remember) anyway, I need a computer to stay in contact with the world & put my designs on Spoonflower to try to earn some money.

I'm JUST a year too young for the city's 'we'll come to your house and test you for COVID-19 if you have no transportation', so when I get congestion (gluten does a number on me) I wonder if I'm sick, or if it's just the usual problem & get all OMG OMG when I die, after my cat eats me she'll starve to death/die of thirst because no one ever checks in on me... poor cat... yeah, I get obsessively panicky over weird things.

The city sent me a jury duty notice, with the only response being a webpage that did NOT list 'hardship or extreme inconvenience' (legally, that was listed on the state law page) as excuses, but damn it, even at the best of times, just getting there is an expense I can't afford, plus you know, I am a hermit, with social anxiety up the whazoo... I USED to go by taxi once a month for groceries, with a taxi driver I knew, and even at that it always took me a week to get up the nerve. Going to court, public transit, walking city roads, crowded jury pool room, having to SPEAK to a judge in front of a court when they ask you questions to decide if you're suitable for that case? I did it twice and I was SICK with fear for weeks before (literally I checked my blood pressure and just thinking about it made it zoom), and alternated being mute and speaking far too loudly. I found an email contact for ADA, which is ONLY to let a person who needs accommodation request it (translators, etc.) and they said just type in at the text box on the page of excuses that don't match and I did, and they, after 2 weeks of me nervously waiting, sent me a postponement to April. (The original date was Nov 11, which turned out to be when a tropical storm was beating down on me, so that WOULD have been FUN.)

I hate depression- it's unproductive and a vicious cycle- I sit around and don't get exercise or sunshine, my ankles swell up and I get more depressed.

Ok, thanks for the venting venue. :^) I hope everyone is hanging in there and looking forward to happy days, someday.
