My IBS has flared up, it's been a miserable day in many ways.

I spent a lot of it re-reading Northanger Abbey; a friend called to talk, turned out she was re-reading Pride & Prejudice.

I'm just ... the shit I keep seeing, the defeatist talk even though it's looking more and more like a Biden win ... it's so exhausting. I'm really tired of this branch of leftists who apparently think nothing is worth doing because we can't make big step progress.

There was a quote going around this morning that progress is made by grinding for inches. Sometimes we can take a leap, but you can't plan for that, you have to plan to get from A to B by grinding and scraping and clawing every last inch. But that's exhausting and fair day allies don't want to do that. It's too hard and their lives aren't really on the line so it's too much inconvenience and meanwhile my tribe is dying because disability isn't even poverty wages and everyone wants to fracture the Latine community so we're too busy fighting ourselves instead of tearing at white supremacy and I'm just so. fucking. tired. I'm tired and I want to just give up and lay down and die because surely it would hurt less, but I can't. I'm running on fumes but I have to keep going because what other option is there?
