SO! New neighbors brought a cat with them ... that they've then let loose in the park, whereupon she had kittens somewhere secluded and only recently brought them back to the park. I see those kittens outside all the time and have been for weeks. George keeps fussing at me because he worries about kittens outside in the park, but they aren't ours to take in, so I've just been dealing with his yowling for however many weeks now.

Last night we were issues a Tropical Storm Warning for this morning, with Zeta expected to pass by early afternoon. Zeta actually hit early-to-mid morning and after the storm was well and truly past, I went outside to check for damage and there, huddled on other neighbor's porch, was one of the kittens. I come back around from checking the back of the house and pause and she come barreling right up to me, lets me pick her up and take her and brother inside for some kibble. It's not the first time I've done this, but always before within five minutes, these guys were ready to go back away from our bunch (two adults, a teen, and two kittens, all Very Curious about the visitors). Not today. Today they came in, chowed down for awhile, then found napping spots in the kitty equivalent of "yeah, we live here now". So we're back to four foster kittens, which at least means my anxiety muffin will stop yowling at me about kittens left outside?
