I am starting to hit the issue that while I'm not on claustrophobic lockdown (Midwestern, homeowner, permitted to do grocery runs) I don't know when I'll be able to see a movie again. My internet is too slow for that. I've got tv to rewatch, but only particular things.

And there are some things I was intending to do (finish the sunroom) I can't do because I didn't complete it before the situation and I was exhausted and didn't expect a pandemic.

I was going to put in some new plants this spring, and the nurseries are open, but it just feels irresponsible to go buy azaleas right now. I’m glad I can go to the grocery store but it’s frustrating, all the normal things that can’t happen. *hugs*

Right? Like...I'm stuck in my own county right now because I don't want to bus to Cuyahoga...and that's where one of my closer friends (Who is also blind) lives...and...we didn't know how much we missed seeing each other until we couldn't.

And now it's like...sure, we can be on the phone, but it's not the same as that warm body and the energy in the same space with you.

I wanted to finally plant asparagus but I think the plants won't be available by the time that trip could happen.

Asparagus can surprise you. It's been around since the Romans (yeah, they called it asparagus, too) and it generally puts down roots and regrows from them every year. We had an asparagus patch when I was growing up that was planted in about 1949 and, as far as I am aware, is still putting up shoots. I think if you plant it when you can, if you don't get it this year you will next year. Just don't mess with the roots.

The plants sell out fairly early and they may not bother to stock them. Also, I can't walk there and back.

Also, with an urban lot, I'm wanting the purple improved variety.
