Wow! Your productivity is an inspiration! I cut out one experimental mask today--I'm trying for the shaped kind with a center seam--but become overwhelmed. I get overwhelmed with the simplest things! And I know how to sew!

I know what you mean! I spent 2 days checking out links, printing out patterns, looking up comments from nurses & doctors before I even decided what pattern to use. And then went 'WHAT? HOW? PLEATS, OMG WHAT?' before I made the first one.

I decided to do it assembly line fashion once I figured it out, so I have a bunch *partly* done, which will make it seem faster because they'll complete quickly. But once this batch is done, I have to start over on the next group which only has the first few stages done (boiled for 5 minutes, spun to get out excess water in washing machine, and then dried on high heat).

My first batch of 16 is awaiting pickup by the USPS- they're going to an assisted living facility (I didn't choose them, I signed up with MaskMakers who matches you up and gives you the address.)

We're all dealing with a lot of new things right now. Each new thing takes extra mental effort, just because it's not routine habit yet. I've noticed new recipes take 2-3 times as long as familiar recipes, just because I have to pay close attention to the recipe vs. 'collect ingredients, measure, stir, pour in pan without even getting out the written recipe'.

So each new thing is a bigger project than if it were familiar, and the more new things we're dealing with, the closer we get to 'brain full, must reboot'.
