A thought about noise

At least one commenter has mentioned noise from other people in their building, so I looked up earplugs at The Grommet. Unfortunately, the ones I bought last year, which I recommend very highly, are not there now, but it may be worthwhile (for the sake of sanity when assailed by uncontrollable noise outside one's living quarters) to check out the ones that are there, and perhaps to send a message to the makers, asking if they would be suitable in these situations.

ETA: These, at Amazon are the closest both to the ones I had from The Grommet and to the ones I wore when I worked on the General Motors assembly line, that I wore to concerts afterward until they wore out, because they provided studio-quality sound without noise. They may be useful.

Thanks for the rec! I wonder if I would be able to get them to stay in my ears. That's the big problem I have had with earplugs--I can't seem to get them to stay far enough in my ear to do any good, but I've never tried ones of that shape.
