Crazy windy today, even by our standards. Spent the day out -- taxes, lunch, visit with BFF -- and came home to find the neighbor's outbuilding in my back pasture. It's not small, either; looks to be about 12' by 20'. Built on a frame, probably aluminum, covered with sheet metal. It's standing upright, though kind of crazy cock-eyed slanted, between my two fences. Looks like it was simply picked up, sailed over the fence, then dropped in place. Kind of unnerving, actually.

That is serious amounts of wind, even if the building is aluminium!

It certainly is! Still, we got off easy; the evening news said that places in Oklahoma and Texas had roofs ripped off by the wind.

I was diagnosed with COVID Omicron on Jan. 21; theoretically I'm recovering but H have minor recurrences of fever, exhaustion and that taste in my mouth that makes even familiar food taste exotically bad. And a friend whose husband had it told me that it takes six months before that stops completely. So I have had to reschedule things, and postpone seeing people, and outright cancel some group events. I tend to be more of an introvert these days but it's getting ridiculous, especially after the last 4.5 years of lockdown because the disease version earlier on would probably have killed me.
