the rain today was ... not fun; the leak in the office ceiling is getting worse. We're having the contractor 'round tomorrow, but we're still short of what he quoted, so any additional help will be much appreciated all around. https://hitokage.dreamwidth.org/826829.html

So thankful we were able to find a POC-owned small business to support in these trying times, especially since we live deep in MAGA country.

Fingers crossed your leak is located swiftly and is easy to fix.

roof diagnosis is: two holes big enough to need patching, several more that would be fixed with a sealant coat and oh yeah, the world's tiniest gutters clogged with tree debris. He'll be back tomorrow to do the actual work and then replace the cracked panel in the office ceiling. Which means moving out as much of the sensitive stuff as possible from the office to ... yeah, I'm not sure where I'm going to put anything, but that's a tomorrow problem. Right now I need sleep.

Finally replaced my wobbly computer desk. It arrived yesterday and I got it all put together in about three hours. Significantly more desk space. I still have to figure out cable management (currently just blobbed about in my best efforts to keep cords away from cats) and adjust things like my chair and monitor. I am absurdly pleased with myself in finding a desk that fits an odd space with an inch and a half to spare in the most solid direction. (It's tucked between a closet and wall in a nook designed for a different desk 50 years ago.)
