I would like to object to attacks of the brain weasels. I can identify them as such, but that doesn't stop them, and aaargh.

Better in the afternoon, after I conceded that I wasn't going to make an arbitrary deadline (because I won't do the task otherwise) and need to think about the artistic details for a bit longer.

Oh, yeah. Deadlines can be useful prods, or excruciating pains in the ass. I hope the 'thinking out the details' makes the job smoother and easier. Good luck.

On this occasion, it was useful, because I made a dramatic bit of progress, and now having taken the time to do something else, I might have solved the two issues. I think.
