I suspect the higher fine is because of all those people heading up to Caithness and things? I can't say I'm unhappy that it's higher, if the police have to risk themselves to help reduce the risk overall from pillocks then the pillocks should have to pay enough that it would give them some pause. I'm glad your employer's on top of things with the letter to make your commute less stressful.
