A lovely semi-local lady took one look at our latest advert on our kittens and decided Hooker Boots was the one for her and her other lonely kitten. And then her daughter saw what mommy was doing and wanted Sparta and honestly those two are pretty bonded, so we were happy to have her take them both. But oh the terrified crying as I was taking them out to her car broke my heart a little, even though I know New Mommy will be great for them. But I'm still miss my little buddy (Bootsie has been extra cuddly lately), even as I definitely *won't* miss having to fish them out from under the desk ten times a night. :p

We're probably going to just keep Heidi, but we are going to have to figure out a way to get her (and the two older cats, too, at this point) to a vet and how to pay for all the things. Sigh.

So far even the "mobile" vet isn't very accessible - it's an RV that parks in parking lots in otherwise underserved communities, cash only, and no website?? So no idea what the schedule is without calling the number on the YP listing. I'm not impressed. There are other vets in the area, according to Google-chan, but that means getting a ride to one of two "neighboring" towns, which is a difficult enough starting position. Gonna keep digging, though!
