My work team (we support front line work) are finally all able to work from home now. The last few got their kit last night, and probably not unrelatedly last night was the first time I got a reasonable night's sleep in a while, and it's amazing the difference it made to how I feel.

We're still working the kinks out of being 100% remote, lots of skype calls and messages, and I've set up a regular chat for my whole team just to check in with each other as well as telling them that I absolutely encourage them to call each other just to shoot the breeze right now. I'm not sure how the weekend will go, without the structure of work, but maybe I'll finally have enough attention span to watch some tv or read for longer than 10 minutes.

Wow, I'm tired from sewing and I just read that you set up a regular cat for your whole team.

And I was thinking that's nice, but for a whole team, I'd have thought an extra large cat would be better....

I think I need a cup of tea.

Or a very irregular icon I made merging me with my brother's cat. Actually, I think I turned out better than the Cats movie. ;^)

How did you make the icon?

It's so long ago, let me think..mmm.. I have photoshop elements, nothing fancy, but it lets you have layers. I put a photo of me on one layer and a photo of the cat on the top layer, and reduced the opacity of the cat layer to like a 'ghost' so I could see myself under it, then I cut apart the cat features, moving and resizing them until they fit closely to my features- sometimes I had to distort them a little to mesh. Then I increased the opacity of the cat features, some of them more, some of them less (that meant putting some on different layers), and when it was looking fairly close I used the eraser tool set fuzzy and at low percentage, to smooth out the edges of the cat features. And finally flattened the whole thing. :^)

There are programs that will let you set match points for features to morph in between, but I did this old school. ;^)
