I used one of my allowed vacation days from work to have a three-day weekend this weekend for Spring cleaning. I've spent today decluttering my front-room which has been looking more like a storage space than a living space. Why does it always look WORSE when I'm in the midst of trying to make it better? *heavy sigh*

I know that feeling! I'm sure it'll look great once you're done.

Something I've been trying to do (with some success) is what I've been calling "mini-projects" where I clean up just a small section of a room. One cupboard, one box, one kitchen drawer. Something that can be done in an hour or so. I do this whenever I have spare time and energy (which is admittedly less than I'd like, but I do get stuff done this way instead of staring at the mess in hopeless despair).

Once you've finished the major de-clutter, this might help as a way to stay on top of things?

Had to buy new bras. In increase in price the last few years makes me want to cry.
