I am so charmed by this! I have been attending the Escapade con for many years, and I am particularly infamous for high-bidding at the con's charity auction...and I am also infamous for being a deeply devoted Paul Gross fangirl...and when I had to miss the con this year, the auctioneer proclaimed "...the best way to participate this year is to pretend that you are ride_4ever and we just brought Paul Gross on stage to auction him off". Oh fandom! <3

While sad to miss the con for the first time in ages, it was sweet to get "acclaim" like this...and also to get text messages during the con of fen who were looking for me there and then expressing sadness that they missed me.

Already planning next year's attendance!
