I made a dumb mistake with my meds and didn't sleep at all last night. So my guts went on strike today and I'm now drained & feeble. Tomorrow I get my COVID booster, so I'll probably be flat on Saturday. Fun adventures in embodiment!

Life kind of really sucks right now, and the help I need I'm having a hard time getting. Cried at work today while trying to quietly talk to the bank. Fun times.

One of the adult fosters scared the ever living fuck out of me tonight to the point I went crying to one of our neighbors for help. Of course we live so rural that we have to wait for morning, but Freya has since [redacted for grossness] and is dozing next to me like everything is fine. Everything is not fine and I'd still like to see her seen by a vet, but I'm slightly less terrified something horrible has happened.

I've managed to get a flu and covid vaccination, which involved some logistical hassle and some minor fudging to get insurance to pay: I'm not officially eligible here for either myself, so I need to argue that it's because of close contact to immune compromised people (the guidelines recommend it for those, and so insurances have to pay), and my brother actually is immune compromised, but we aren't in the same household nor am I a carer or anything like that, and some providers are bizarrely stringent even when there's not any kind of vaccine scarcity anymore.

Like I never could just go for my flu shot to a city vax center, because they only do over 60. Anyway, after being unable to reach my GP (who's never been too fussy), I found a pharmacy that was content with me just checking a ticky that I need it for other's sake (those have only become vaccination places here since the pandemic and it's still not that common, it's not like the US where it's a default).

I managed to get vaccinated Wednesday morning and didn't have any side effects besides the injection sites hurting a bit.
