Woke up Thursday having done something to my back in my sleep. I've spent the several days since laying on an electric blanket on the couch trying to unfuck it. Do not recommend.

Oh no. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Having buggered up my back earlier in the year (making the bed, of all the ridiculous times) I have much sympathy. I took myself off to the physio, who gave me two very minor exercises, and told me I'd be fine in two weeks. I wish to report that a) I did not in any way believe that, given I could barely move, b) I thought it very kind of them and c) dammit, they were right.

This is EDS related. I've got a decent toolkit for managing it at home, but a lot of it is waiting for things to unkink themselves.

For my last day of leave (ten! glorious! days!) I am having an incredibly self indulgent morning. I have eaten breakfast in bed looking out at the garden, I am sipping my coffee. Two of the household are out, and the remaining one has come out of their room, pottered around, and then gone back in and closed the door. So I have zero commitments, and zero interruptions. I have some pleasant orchestral music going, and I'm going to find the book I was planning on reading last week, and enjoy me some short fiction
