Another boom of kittens means our fosters are trying to eat us out of house and home and there's entirely too much month left at the end of the money. T_T And of course the local animal welfare system (what there is of it) is overloaded and as someone who grew up on The Price Is Right, the way the majority opinion around here seems to be "oh, there's no need to do anything about *cats*" kinda makes me nuts.

We have a wishlist for the kitties ( https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/7EMQQ4ZKBXFX?ref_=wl_fv_le ), which has a priority sort option.

It's a real juggling act; hope things get better.

To that end -- how does buying for you on Amazon work? Does it go into my cart but get delivered to you? I'm confused, never done this before.

Yup! It'll go into your cart, but then should show as a gift for ... probably my wife's name, actually, so Cyndi/Dee, when you go through check out. Address will be blocked out, but it'll get delivered to us just fine.

Okay, done. Amazon says you'll get the 4 items Sat 23rd. I don't get my stuff till next Wednesday; even Amazon doesn't know where New Mexico is! (An old post I made that explains that reference. <g>)

My dad was in the hospital once before in a larger town in MO (Where my parents have just moved to) and they sent him home saying everything was ok. ...

It wasn't. He's now in Mercy hospital. He had a stroke (Semi-recovered), liver failure (under control, I think now) and they were trying to find out whether or not there is (or was) an infection in his heart or around the pacemaker, and they were waiting on the MRI machine to be up and runing for other reasons.

On top of that, work has been slow enough that I've been sent home early for the second time this week, and I'm a little worried (already) about this payperiod's check, even if it's only two days in.

...

I'm not okay. I just hope I can get out to MO for Christmas-and I hope Dad doesn't go before then-I'd love for us to be together one last time before that happens.

...

I may need another person down here to run the job today. Not sure I can hold up the mask on my own today. >.>

To the lovely mods, who are kind enough to check in with folks who've not clicked a clickity box in a few days: I'm on a road trip! I'm posting this from Manitoba, on the way to Saskatchewan. Scarcity is due to a lot of driving (not me, thank all the friendly powers), exploring, radio scanning, and generally having a good time. :)
