I hate the 4th more than usual. Every fucking night starting Friday has had hours of fireworks and, now apparently guns, to scare the shit out of my dogs and irritate me. Not to mention all the loud music from the new next door neighbors. argh!

Sympathies. My Jay doesn't come down for the first week in July for this reason. He came from a place where "pop pop" didn't always mean fireworks, and he forgets sometimes that that's all they are here.

I bought a large amount of groceries...and feel guilty for spending about $260 just on myself. Even with inflation. Just...ug *sighs* That doesn't include things for my furbabies, either. :(

I'm looking for a cat fountain so that I can keep from knocking into their waterbowl, and I feel like the older they are, the more they could benefit from seeing moving watter.

It doesn't help that I spent the holiday at home alone (physically anyway), and I miss my cousin's grill-outs. :(

Thank the gods for noncorporials who were able to lighten the loneliness a bit.

Most be-loathed time of year. Some yahoo just set off a gd mortar that rocked our whole *house* and even had the neighbors coming outside to make sure it wasn't a bomb or local transformer going kaboom.
