Another kitten went to Bast and a fifth is probably also on his way out. This sort of death rate (if #5 goes, that'll make two litters completely lost (out of five total)) is not entirely surprising for litters born at this time of year, but that doesn't make it feel any less terrible. Wife and I think Twix (the one who died tonight) just ... gave up. She was so happy and active ... and then her two true littermates died and all the cuddles in the world from the rest of the kittens and mamas (and one auntie) weren't enough to make up for their loss and she just quit.
