I am "not OK" because:

a) on the map of smoke pollution in the US &c I am currently in the worst area. The nearest reliable sensor gives an Air Quality Index of 333, the next nearest 346, the one after that 364. All of these are in the HAZARDOUS!!1! zone.

b) the people who came to repair & repaint our deck & steps completely ignored everything we told them & planned, and drained our water tank completely, and now our v-e-r-y s-l-o-w well is having trouble filling it even a little. We're waiting for Mr to come home with jugs of water to use to flush the toilets.

On the other hand, there's a new BBQ place in the village and it's *delicious*, and not too expensive for the area. So life could be worse.
