Landlord finally sent someone over to fix the leak so that was a fun few hours, cuz we had no warning and then the water was off ... and I forgot to go up to the box to check the meter, shit.
ANYWAY... turns out that a) the piping was a mess and b) the leak had actually being going on for quite awhile, just at such a slow level that we didn't notice until the running water actually wore a hole in the pipe and it suddenly turned into a spring. But hey. Problem fixed now.

I'm okay, but my 89-year-old father-in-law is having emergency surgery tonight, and my spouse is naturally worried. At 89 years old, surgery and recovery is a chancy thing.

It's been a miracle that he's been able to live independently to this point; I dread what may happen if he doesn't fully recover. He's never liked being dependent on anyone.

I'd just told my mom yesterday that things were financially looking up some (Which they are) and I find out (Before I had anything to cope with it) that the mortgage fro April didn't go through, and that PNC didn't notify Truist until the 19th. This was *after*she'd given me a certain amount to help cover said mortgage, and I used an extra hundred on other bills coming due, and since I *didn't* know it hadn't gone through...*sighs* Even with the extra hours starting in May, it's gunna be interesting for a bit. *sighs*

Cue the freak out because late fees, and I could've sworn it had gone through. :(

I'm seriously glad they're starting to give me more hours, but at the same time, shit, man, I'm tired of trying to struggle to make ends meet, and my SIL being all over my ass. *sighs*

Yep, spelling fixes, and back to not caring about cleaning. sliding backwards, yall, this is not good. Gods, I miss having someone around to just chill with some days. *sighs*
