Flour is also a sticking point. The only flour I have in the house is more than four years old and probably full of weevils.

I once accidentally ate weevils- they were in a box of cereal. They tasted like walnuts and I thought, oh, new flavor? I wouldn't *recommend* eating them, but I believe they are harmless. The only effect it has had on me is a lifelong tendency to pun.

It's only a little weevil.
