I was able to get (and return) more library materials and also conducted another grocery run. It hasn't been the store for the bulk of my purchasing previously, but I've been branching out there since other places either are too far now, or too stressful.

Maybe I'll figure out when I can in and out for ice cream and bread at the one store (when I don't have tall unmasked men I don't know where they've been).

I am still absolutely furious with our landlady and her husband turning up unannounced yesterday and just deciding she was going to do a half-assed job of cleaning up our lot for us without any consultation or warning ... in which she mowed into my garden, killing most of my baby okra in the process and running right over a whole bunch of garlic. Whatever she was doing to keep her busy last summer? She needs to go back to doing that instead of this. It's going to take me weeks to clean up the mess she made!

(No, it's not legal to show up at a rental property without notice and no, it's not in our contract that she can just do what she likes. Also, as I've been gardening, I've noticed it's been years since anyone actually gave any real fucks at all about the state of this lot, so extra pissed because now suddenly she cares enough to ... do a shit job and mow part of my garden that got away from me because rain and crab grass (told you, no one's cared about this lot in years) and then not really deal with the damn swamp vine? But unfortunately, my remedies for this are basically zero because hah, renter's rights are a joke in this country, just like everything else.)
