Have dropped back to "not OK" due to my family gracing me with their (collective) cold. Here's hoping I can beat it back with copious amounts of water, soup, hot sauce, and sleep.

Last two nights I was awake till dawn, then got 6 hours at most, sketchy. Hope to sleep tonight.

Have Covid. Been sleeping 12 hours, staying up for a few, having a nap, being awake for a few hours, and then going back to bed for a twelve hour sleep. The SU is mostly over his case. I am still running fever regularly.

Still having to hoof water from a neighbor (who's always gracious about helping at least), and in so doing have come to find out half the park has this year's flu (certified by doctors as flu, not covid or something else), and we're all in at least loose contact with each other but no idea what amount if any masking is going on but my assumption is none because my county gave up treating COVID seriously two years ago :p *I* still mask, for various reasons, so at least I'm not likely to bring the flu in to my wife, but it's still... yeah. I need to look into getting some better masks cuz at this point I think I'm just going to mask forever now. :p

Oh and I keep waking up with a tickle in my throat and end up coughing for a few hours before everything settles back down. Not enjoying this timeline at all.

Sympathies on all that.

For flu specifically, even cloth masks are very effective, as long as they're snug to your face around all the edges.

I could send samples of the 3M Aura, the 3M V-flex, and a Kimtech duckbilled mask, if you'd like an assortment of N95s to try.

Oh that would be awesome. All my cloth masks are from the earlier stages, so they don't seal snug all around, which is better than going around naked, but yeah, I still worry a little, even though I'm not going out anywhere these days. I'll DM a mailing address in a little bit. 💙
