fair warning: this is a whinge.

Competition season has started. I know all the reasons for why things have to be done they way that they are. What I don't want it to be out until 10pm on a Sunday. Which is my day for staying at home and being a potato (and I had to be at comp for hours today as well, but at least today I wasn't volunteer parent, so I got to sit and read my book). Seriously, whyyyy.

Ice skating (figure, synchronised). And yes, on my day to chill :( Because there have to be two days of competition, they have to fit in around available ice time, and some other details, so late on a Sunday.

Thanks! And it is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, but when one gets there early, and stays late, it makes for a long day -- as I'm sure you are familiar with. Worse for some competitions, when they have to fit official practice (early morning) in as well as competition (afternoon) on the same day!
