So my pain gets worse when I haven't been able to see my physiotherapist safely for months because of COVID

and also with all the the wet stormy windy weather [my city] has been having lately

and also with the extra bending/carrying I have been having to do as I prepare to move house

and now on top of all that, I can't take paracetamol because my liver is inflamed!

and I can't take ibuprofen because of unexplained abdominal pain and unexplained vomiting!

I am feeling very ow and very hard done by right now

Also: as a lifelong nondrinker, it feels very unfair that my liver is inflamed. Based on my zero lifelong alcohol intake, I feel like my liver should be in mint-in-box-1970s-Star-Wars-collectible condition...

Oh, gee, that is a lot. And moving on top of everything else. Sympathies on all of the troubles and pain. Crossing my fingers for you that it all turns out well.

It does seem like it should be mint. Not fair.

Update from yesterday: boys slept in late this morning (unlike me), which gave me some time to make coffee, check some things, and even do a little morning weeding in the garden (the rain's been feeding the weeds, the crab grass is invading quite insistently) before they got up. It was a nice enough day we could even have them go outside this afternoon for awhile to run off some energy. Their resilience is a lot higher than mine AND we got to show them Avatar: The Last Airbender, which they enjoyed (wife and I were watching it already, so we started Book Two tonight, so they got to see all kinds of 'bending). D thought Hugh the Swampbender was using earthbending to make the plants do things cuz plants suck nutrients up from the ground, so shouldn't an earthbender be able to use that to bend plants? Pretty smart for his first time seeing the show and he was close!

I'm glad to hear things are going better!

I've been watching Avatar with my six year old, it is an oddly useful show for discussing hard things in a fictional context.

I'm feeling pretty arthritic over the last while, but it's getting warmer so I'm hoping that helps. I'm also reading a lot of novels - some good, some mindless but distracting - which helps me not think about it.
