Late Friday Mr Dr Science & I got our 2nd booster. As expected, he had no detectable reaction, while I spent Saturday in bed with joint pain, cramps and fever. I'm not 100% recovered yet, but I hope to be by this evening.

Can't remember if I mentioned it here before, but on May 22nd we went to a college Reunion-related event at someone's house. Normally we spend most of the time outside, but this year it was so hot everyone spent the whole day indoors in the AC. We were there for about 6 hours. The next day the host tested COVID+--probably having picked it up at an event he went to on Friday. We all locked down hard and tested for the next 10 days, and it looks as though only one of the guests got infected--though I wonder if he picked it up earlier, too. But the host's whole family got sick, tho the 2 over-65 were put on Paxlovid & it seems to have helped. I don't know if we all dodged the infection due to vaccines, or if the host wasn't actually shedding much virus yet.
