The Ontario provincial elections wrapped up tonight, pretty much as I feared they would. The utter lunatics didn't get any seats, but that's one of the few bits of solace I'm taking from tonight's projected and announced results thus far.

I woke up with a stuffed nose and trying to cough up sticky phlegm. The rapid covid home test I did was negative though, and so far I don't have that tired sickness feeling or fever nor does my throat hurt. So right now it seems more annoying than serious.

Hopefully whatever is causing my respiratory tract to produce gluey slime will go away quickly (trying to help that along with hot herbal tea rn), rather than escalate. Blergh.

Gone are the days when a "common cold" was a non-event, sigh. A Berocca in very hot water is good, too, and the vit C isn't harmed by boiling water.

What's Berocca? Googling gives some supplement result? I don't think that particular one is sold here. I have taken some vitamin C with zinc, in hopes that it might help marginally. At least so far the cough hasn't gotten worse and my nose has cleared up some with being awake for a while.

Unfortunately in the afternoon now my back has decided to spasm, to add to my long list of reasons to be disgruntled with embodiment in general. It's just lovely how bodies like to stack unrelated discomforts on top of each other. >:(

It's sold here as Berocca and a similar one is Redoxon - they're dissolvable vitamin C (and Berocca has B vits as well). The vit C is useful and they taste okay, but likely any dissolvable vit C could be doctored up with lemon and honey much the same. I take 1000mg vit C a day during any cold.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that legionseagle, who posted her status here regularly, died today.

She was a good, kind, friend to me over a lot of years and I will miss her more than I can say. I'm in pieces.
