ratcreature: Woe! RatCreature feels emo. (woe!)

I actually had a basic compression bandage in my first aid kit, so I have done that as well. I've never tried the delivery thing because my main supermarket is just across the street from me, and delivery is more expensive, and every delivery person hates the steep stairs (the last flight to my apartment is even worse than the first four, because they built it with fewer steps as it used to be only the attic). And I also object to the whole gig economy model that groceries now use rather than some having a delivery service with proper employees.

I'm stocked up enough that I could feed myself for a while so it's not a necessity. I mostly wanted some fresh fruit, fresh milk (though I still have the long shelf life stuff in reserve) and bread (could make some in my bread machine), and look for veggies on offer (still have frozen stuff). So I could just not go.

But can walk on the ankle with only moderate pain, and no kind of movement leads to awful pain spikes, so I think I'll just try limping to the supermarket. Also because I want to move a little for my back, because I can feel it spasm and be unhappy in roughly the spot on my middle back where I hit it a little. I didn't tumble far or anything, basically missed a step and landed backwards mostly on my butt and only a little in my back, twisting the foot that missed and also a little the knee, though that barely hurts and isn't swollen (more like my mishaps normally go). It looks like I mostly escaped body soreness and bruises since little manifested after last night's sleep, except for the back twinge. That I really hope won't escalate into a back pain episode. That would really suck.

This whole vertebrate development path
and without water support for our weight no less, was so ill advised...

ETA: Success! I managed to limp to the store to aquire groceries and managed the stairs. Getting down turned out harder than back up.
