My city decided to stop the daily reporting of the infection number starting from May, even though the situation isn't actually any better yet. We are still in the middle of a high second omicron variant peak. They are also reducing the free testing. That's one way to make the numbers look better, I guess. >:( I find this switch to the ostrich strategy of pretending that nothing bad is happening anymore really enraging.

They've gone for a similar method where I live, and it certainly isn't helpful.
