Smallest sister tested negative for Covid yesterday morning. We had our NYE fondue last night.

My mom is 96. She lives in Connecticut and has 24/7 health aides in her home. Right now 4 of her usual staff are in quarantine, waiting for test results because someone in their immediate family has COVID.

So far my mom is OK. But I'm feeling a little nuts.

Of course you're concerned. If 4 staff are out, how many are still there for your mom?

Fingers crossed for her. It has to be a logistical nightmare for anyone needing regular home care right now. My 95-year old uncle patches his support together with aide visits and support from his children and friends, and I worry about his exposure with this crazy omicron surge.
