My doctor cancelled all check-ups and other regular care for January, to leave room for COVID patients. The public library system is back on curbside-only until Jan 9, at least.

Fellow library worker here, I cannot believe my system is simultaneously shortening our hours once again whilst bringing all the people who've been teleworking back into the office for the first time. I've been in the office since June of last year since I work with materials processing.

Our NYE plans are cancelled. Smallest sister went for a haircut for the first time in two years yesterday and today the hairdresser tested positive for covid. Sister is vaxxed, boosted, and was wearing a mask. Hairdresser was not wearing a mask. Sister can test on Monday to see if she has it (for the second time). If she's negative we'll get together and do fondue then.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. Mom had lung surgery a few weeks ago and getting covid (again) would be very bad for her.

(Smallest sister, brother-in-law, and my parents all had covid last summer. Middle sister, the baby, my husband, and myself have not had it. Knock on wood.)

Due to Hurricane Ida, Smallest Sister has been living with my parents. She takes keeping Mom safe very seriously.

Yesterday, I was productive. Today, I hate everything I try and sit down and read (except one thing, which is not a priority, unlike the other dozen items on my reading list).

Thanks. Fortunately, today I'm in a much better mood, and am getting through the required reading. I have opinions, but that is okay, I'm expected to! Just have to get it all read in two weeks!
