I need a good set of noise cancelling headphones because I have what sounds like a score of clog dancers going to town on it upstairs and boy howdy, are they loud and it's to modern jazz, which isn't a fave.

I like my Bose headphones. They were spendy, but I've had them for a few years now and they always work for me.
