Evacuation drill at work has shown me that I cannot, in good faith, plan to evacuate with the masses, and instead will have to huddle in the stairwell near the lifts for the duration. This is not something I have any context for, and nothing I've seen talked about anywhere except in the context of wheelchairs. Anyone here have any lived experience of how drills go in this circumstance? Australian experience preferable.

In the situation where there is a fire, not a drill, I make no predictions about how anxiety brain will overrule rational brain.
