I left the building today for the first time in two months, to go to the grocery store. It was a terrifying experience, people weren't distancing and I kept having to run in circles around the store to get what I needed while avoiding the people who kept coming within 3 feet of me. But I got milk, eggs, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and even masks (!).

But I'm still kind of reeling from it.

It's so depressing. I've been putting off shopping all this time in the hope that eventually we'd figure out a system to shop safely, but that hasn't happened yet and I'm now not sure it ever will.

I'm good, but soo soo soo tired today, mentally & physically, that I'm not even going to attempt calling the bank to find out if I can online deposit a check.

Some days you just don't have any spoons.

On the bright side, when I pulled up the blinds to the back yard I saw a mom cat and three kittens. Don't think they have any homes, but apparently a few people in the neighborhood feed them as I've seen food on the sidewalk/under makeshift shelters. I can't afford to feed them, but I put out water in a bowl because I have a swimming pool and I fear if they don't have easy access to water they might try to get it from the pool with disastrous results. Saw one of the kittens drinking from the bowl, so yes, good idea.
