I'm...full of food. I've blown everything healthy about eating out the window today, and have absolutely no regerts. ... except for being food comaed. LOL

Someone helped me with trying to figure out when in the hell my stimulous payment would get here, and the not knowing is stressing me the fuck out. Like...that's what's making me not okay right now.

I'm feeling a lot more secure now that our governor finally closed all schools for the year. I'd planned out my lessons, etc., already, but we hadn't gotten any official word. (I work at a private school, but obviously, we follow the governor's orders too.) Now, I can just focus on getting everyone to the finish line (and worry about spending the summer doing prep for potential online classes in the fall LATER, anxiety brain--L.A.T.E.R.).

My delivery firm sent me an enormous piece of pork. I think I'm going to have to cut it in half and freeze part of it. Also, no tins of anything. So all I have to eat is what they sent me, plus breakfast cereal.

I got my stimulus check yesterday- I had requested, and been CONFIRMED, to get it as direct deposit, because even if the bank was open I have no way to get to it (and no smart phone to DL an APP to do it). SO, the check is good for a year, and it's just sitting in my purse, where hopefully I will neither lose it, nor forget it, when the time comes I can actually deposit it.

On the health side, I'm only a bit sniffly, throat a bit sore, today- so maybe I had a 24 hour virus (if such exists) or possibly I already had COVID-19 back in Feb (nearly 3 weeks of exhaustion and coughing) and my immune system is partially up to fighting it.

Here's hoping.

You can deposit checks by mail! People used to do it all the time. Shake your bank's website until it tells you what address to use. You fill out a deposit slip, sign the check and write "deposit only" on the back, wrap the whole business in a concealing piece of paper, and send it off!

If you need help shaking the bank's website, that's a thing I can do.

Oh, thanks for the idea! I'll go examine the bank's website to see about this. ;^)

I'm looking into it-- while it says you can send it by mail, it gives no instructions- but while I was looking it SEEMS that you can also do it on-line from a computer, if you set up On Line banking and scan the check, so I'm trying to do that, as it would be faster & more secure than mailing.

It's COMPLICATED. Life is so hard. *giggle*

I give up, I got into the online banking but it looks like you have to set up a business account and send for a special scanner-- will wait until Monday and attempt telephoning the bank, see if they can point me to a way to do it from my home computer.

I mail in any checks I get, and you don't even need an official deposit slip. A signed letter containing all the info usually on a deposit slip is fine.

I'm going to try phoning on Monday to see what my options are. If it was a small check I wouldn't mind risking the mail, but the main mail center in my area is notorious for mail theft... scary.
