There is a toddler here who is very grumpy that he hasn't gotten to go on a walk for two whole days. And he had to take an afternoon nap both days, which was awful. He doesn't know that it should be dry tomorrow and he gets to go to the playground.

He got to go to the playground this morning and go walk a nature trail after his afternoon nap. He's much happier.

latest in the ongoing ... whatever the heckin I'm supposed to call it... saga? with slumlord landlady... she said lawn guy would be by "one day this week" to do the vine removal and she'd let us know when. Of course, as someone who just sits on a throne of lies, she already knew when he was coming and didn't tell US until he'd already been here and at work for several hours. Which it took me that long to drag my disabled ass out of bed, into clothes, and out the door ... to let him know that she hadn't told us he was coming today, so yeah, under the house wasn't cleared because even if we'd known, there was no way to get all that done by this morning when we were still arguing about this happening at all (we thought) as of last night. e_e We talked, he's going to lay down some herbicide tomorrow and whenever we're able to get the under area cleared out so he can get in there, next time he's on site, he'll get under there.

Of course all this means we're losing another chunk of our grocery and cats budget every month and wife has been getting a lot of really shitty ableist comments on FB along the lines of why couldn't we have just done this ourselves if we're so broke ... as if fighting back invasive wisteria coming from all directions is at all commensurate with pulling weeds from a manicured suburban garden bed in the first place, never mind the whole wife and I are both disabled thing and oh yeah, invasive swamp vine actually requires special expensive tools to really defeat properly.

I am really freaking tired of being trapped in poverty by my own disabilities keeping me from being able to work a "normal" job. On the other hand, all the raegface over the weekend means I've opened up tiers and commissions on my KoFi (yuuana) as an alternative (complete with different tier rewards) to my Patreon. Some day I'll get back to doing digital art, too, that would be nice.

I've gone from "living with one other person" to "living more than one other human" because I'm hosting the kids, who evac'd out from Ida. We got power back today, finally. They're hearing "21 days or more" for their house, which has neither clean water nor power. At least it didn't sustain any major damage; the elderly oak tree survived another massive hurricane and didn't fall on the house or drop a limb on someone's car. (It didn't fall in hurricane Katrina, either, though it acquired a bit of a lean).
