So talked to landlady's lawn guy this evening. Nice dude, gave me a completely fair quote on what it would cost for him to actually root out the Japanese wisteria that's spent years now invading the park. Like he'd take a full day to not just mow it down but also dig it out and put down herbicide to drive it back away from the house. But our landlady's an effing slumlord who let this vine grow all over her park, uncontained and uncontrolled for years and I honestly expect her to turn around and try to insist that my wife and I pay for the work that SHE should've had done years ago and should've been keeping up with on HER effing park that she does nothing to maintain other than paying for mowing. It's not fair, this is work that needs to be done and this guy would do it and do it *right* and yet I have no faith that it will actually happen and I can't decide if that makes me angry or just want to cry.

I was able to pick up animal meds at the two vet offices I needed to today, so no getting up early tomorrow. Yay!

I have evacuated away from a hurricane. Smallest sister found two condos for my parents, herself, myself, middle sister, brother in law, their toddler, four dogs, and a large cat. Middle sister and BiL broke up the drive into two days because little man doesn't do long car trips yet. They stayed with BiL's mom last night. They'll arrive at some point this afternoon.

My husband works IT for a hospital and is expecting to be staying at work at least one night but maybe two or three depending on how fast Ida moves. If you could keep your fingers crossed for him, I'd appreciate it.
