I've...gotten most of everything in for my medicaid. The only thing left is to email the fire report (Which I finally got.)

I'm hoping to get my stimulous payment with my benefits, but I've heard something about putting your bank info in for SSA...so I'm not sure if that's manditory, or what, but it confused me some.

I'm sort of putting 'okay' because I've gone into this thing of 'barely emotionally stable'.... and I wonder if I'll know what 'happy' or 'contented' is if I ever get to that feeling again.

If you haven't needed to get a refund from either the 2019 or the 2018 taxes federal, then you either wait for a paper check or you submit info online.

Yes, they did make a hash of messaging. If you have a bank account with online access, you probably want to check if your payment is already received.

I get retirement benefits because my dad worked and put hella into it while he was doing so. I wasn't sure if it was manditory for us SSA peeps or not.

Also, how do you go about doing it? Because I'm not sure where to even *begin* to figure that shit out.

I will second the likelihood the formatting will be What Even?!, because I supported some tax software and Really!? had been had when they truncated names and what all because whomever created How many letters does the last name need had a serious lack of imagination.

In America, you should allow for the Polish Spanish hyphenated name.

No, you can see tumblr just by having the link. But I'll copy it over here, just a sec.

Have your most recently filed tax return, your social security number, and your bank direct deposit information (routing number and account number) on hand.

Go to IRS.gov, and click on Get My Payment on the right hand side. On the next page, click the blue “Get My Payment” button. You will then need to give them your date of birth, social security number, and your address in the format they have on file.

I strongly suggest that you click the little question mark to see how you should format it, and then submit it in that fashion; I also suggest you write down every address format you try so you don’t try the same one twice, because after three tries it locks you out for 24 hours (if you try again within that window it locks you out immediately for another 24). Lots of people have had to submit theirs all in caps. Mine was the dumbest way I’ve ever seen of formatting it. Just keep trying and every three tries, note the time and try again the next day.

Anyway, once you get in, it will either inform you that your are eligible and have a disbursal date (or that “no date is available yet”), that you are eligible but they need more information, or that “Payment status not available”. For "Payment status not available”, go here and read more on what you will need to do to make your payment status available.

If you are eligible but they need more information, you will need to provide information from your most recent tax return. Once you have answered their questions about your tax return to their satisfaction, they will allow you to enter your direct deposit information. Once you have done that, it will begin processing your deposit, but you may still not have a date of disbursal for several days. I recommend checking back once a day until you have the date, and then checking your bank account on that date for the disbursal.

Can one or the other adults with you visually see? What people have been saying, is that a lot of the names are in ALL CAPS because the data input was done by people that followed only the instructions provided and with an unreasonable data entry rate. Presumably while being under compensated and with no respect.

Possibly not in what I pasted in, you may have to keep a list of what you've tried, and then pick up again in attempts after you've done three and gotten locked out.

I'm very sorry that this is a Mess, of the nadir order. I fear there is an intentionality to these hurdles--not in the specific because it would require too much forethought, but more in a Mr. Burns (The Simpsons) getting told People Will Have Problems and being "Yes, suffering, that's a benefit. What's my next item?" way.

Yes, but they are both busy with a seriously off the walls insane child who's a month away from being three...so it's a bit difficult to snag their attention long enough for this, I'd think.

Like seriously...kid's been in time out seemingly more than he's been running around.

Not to mention the underlying conditions that make it hard for them to do much more than either take care of the house, or handle the kid. :d (I have interesting housemates. In a good way.)

Enough errors and you start really making a mess. Out of people's lives.

Sadly, that can improve the bottom line, short term.

After a few days of not feeling feverish, I woke up today feeling feverish again. :(

and I can't call my GP as my phone is flat and the new phone charger doesn't arrive until tomorrow. :(

It's highly unlikely to be COVID - I haven't seen anyone since April 3 except my partner; and I've only seen my partner when they haven't had any contact with anyone else for 14 days -

but it's still unpleasant and a little scary. Fever + Clinical Anxiety during a pandemic is not a fun combo.

I'm isolating in a small apartment in a hard-hit city, along wih my husband and six year old son, working full time from home. Parenting is exhausting under these circumstances, even though to be fair my husband does more than half of it. The classes that I'm teaching online are winding down and for the next month it's exams and class prep. So I have a lot of work to do but much less human interaction. It's good to come on dreamwidth and see people, I'm not built for this isolation lifestyle.

Thank you! My kid's school, bless them, is sending us reams of great ideas for crafts and such and we don't have time to get through any of them. The kid can be left alone for about half-hour chunks to watch tv or play with legos, so we have that at least.
