I'm mostly okay. We're getting a little rain here, which we need.

My four-legged house-guest has been cleared to go back home. Jack has been a model guest with the exception of his bored/anxious habit of licking floors. On the other hand all the cobwebs at dog height have disappeared from their various nooks and crannies.

I'm still feeling a few effects of the Portland heat emergency over the past few days - 116, no AC and not cooling down at night left me limp and feeling poorly. it cooled down last night, and was 'only' in the 90s today, so I'm improving, but definitely still dragging

it was awful - 'normal' June temps here are in the 70s, and we don't get close to this sort of heat even in August. probably at least 40% of residences (especially older ones) don't have AC at all, as it's not really ever been required
