We have reached a Major Pandemic Milestone! My parents (who will be 94 & 96 in March) just got their first COVID vaccine shots!!

I am so relieved, words cannot express. I've been frantic with worry about them for almost a year, now I can actually look forward to visiting them again.

Also the woman who cleans our house, who also works as a hospital aide, got her 2nd shot last week.

Maybe the light at the end of the tunnel ISN'T an oncoming train!

Power seems to be back after three days of rolling blackouts. No water for two days. Hoping it will be back on tomorrow. (I'm in texas)

Realized last night that my Trump-loving, virus-denying parents moved to San Antonio some years ago now. I haven't heard shit from them since the snow started nor do I expect to, since they're legit 1%-ers, so if they even still live down there, it's highly likely they bought into a neighbor that hasn't been cut off for being too poor. Assuming they didn't just up and take a trip to Mexico or Brazil or somewhere else.
