Jean's funeral is tomorrow, in Ottawa. If COVID hadn't been happening, if the border were open, I'd have driven up two days ago, or flown up. The cousins have been talking about what a wonderful person she was and all the ways she was there for people. She and her husband were the only ones to come down for my wedding, and for Mom's reburial -- my father insisted on having Mom buried in the city cemetery she loathed, and the first thing I did after he died was take his death certificate in to that cemetery and arrange for her to be move to the village cemetery where she had planned to be, where her friends were buried. So that is where she is now, where if she were sitting on her gravestone she could see the schoolkids skating on the county rink just as I did.

Too much death.

I have normalsy thint have two live stream events happeninht now.

I was referred to a different dentist for my crown, and it was extremely disquieting to see that while they were being extremely diligent about sanitizing every surface, they were doing nothing about aerosols. Which, as we have learned, are. a. problem.

At least the design of the place meant that all the patients are facing away from each other...
